HEMP SEEDS - SAY WHAT?

Hemp seeds have just started to become more available in Australia but how do you use them and should you add them to your day? 

We use Hemp Seed in our Dukkah mixes but we also use it at home in many ways!

So why add hemp seeds to your day? Hemp foods are completely safe and healthy to eat for everyone. They are packed full of goodness! High in protein, rich in omega 3, 6 and 9 with a full amino acid profile.

Hemp seeds contain almost as much protein as soybeans. In every 30g of seeds there are about 9.46g of protein.  They contain all nine essential amino acids which are essential building blocks for all proteins.

Hemp seeds are a great source of essential fatty acids. As the body cannot produce essential fatty acids we must absorb them from our diet.  Hemp seeds are low in saturated fats and contain no trans fats. 

They also contain an impressive array of vitamins and minerals and are especially rich in vitamin E, magnesium, phosphorous and potassium.  They are also a good source of iron, zinc and b vitamins. 

We use hemp seeds on our avocado on toast, add to our smoothies and sprinkle on our salads.
